Quiltworx guided project

Class communications will be sent via email. If you do not receive a transaction receipt or other automated emails following enrollment, please verify that our emails are not going to your junk box. We want to make sure everyone receives all of the information sent regarding class. Please also consider including your phone number as well as email address when you register, so we have another avenue to attempt to contact you. SOMETIMES OUR EMAILS ARE NOT RECEIVED BY PARTICIPANTS. We do not have a way to know this, so it is the responsibility of the student to check in with us in advance of class for relevant information. Failure by the customer to follow up on class information will not excuse them from the cancellation policy.
Class cancellation policy:
Cancellations requested 7 days prior to the start of class are eligible for a full refund. Many of our classes are taught by outside instructors that rely on a minimum number of students being enrolled, therefore cancellations between 7 days and 48 hours prior to class are subject store credit refund minus any instructor fees. Cancellations with less than 48 hours forfeit all fees.
If the minimum number of enrollees is not met ahead of class, we will cancel the class and offer a full refund.
Should Sew Hip or the instructor need to reschedule the class, we will work with students to find a time that is convenient for all. If we can't make it work, a full refund will be provided.

| Instructor Bio: | I have been sewing my most of my life, whether it was clothes, curtains or stuffed animals. Sewing has made me feel fulfilled; it’s been a stress reliever and a very enjoyable career. In 1994 I took my first quilt class and found my passion. My love of sewing took me in a new direction that I hadn’t explored before. I started working in a quilt shop in 1998 – selling fabrics, helping customers, cutting kits and teaching classes. I really love teaching how to quilt and helping students get that “aha” moment is a joy. I have explored different techniques for quilting – applique, wool, hand dying, designing and many more. All have been valuable learning experiences and have helped me become a better quilting instructor. In 2015 I took my first Judy Niemeyer class – Cactus Flower Table runner. I found I really enjoyed this style of paper piecing and have to this date worked on 25 or more Quiltworx patterns. I am always finding more patterns I want to explorer. Some of my favorites have been Tea Leaf Table runner, Prismatic Star, Coral Reef and Feathered Star. I started teaching classes using Quiltworx patterns in 2018 and found that there are a lot of students that are excited as I was to learn Judy’s method for paper piecing. I like helping the students plan and find the perfect fabric for their quilt. Showing them how to use Quiltster to achieve that goal is exciting. |
