Online Garment Fundamentals - Pattern reading and layout - Scout Tee

This class is designed for students who have already learned to use their sewing machine, and are ready to move onto their first garment.  Week one we will learn how to read the pattern envelope.  With this information, students will be able to buy the correct type and amount of fabric.  In week two, we will learn how to layout the fabric and correctly place the pattern pieces, then cut them out.
For the online format of this class, it will be most productive if we all work with the same pattern.  For this reason, we highly recommend using the Scout Tee pattern by Grainline Studios.  This pattern is available at Sew Hip, or through other online avenues.  If you don't wish to use this pattern, please email us a photo or copy of both the front and back of your pattern envelope prior to the start of class so we know what you are working with.  
After registration, students will receive a link to a zoom meeting.  Prior to the start of class, students should check that they are able to log into zoom and have a working camera and microphone.
