Intermediate Skill Series
For our students who are comfortable with sewing basic garments from a pattern, Intermediate Skills Series is an opportunity to advance and develop your skill set into intermediate and beyond. Class will meet for 4 hours x3 sessions on Sundays with our instructor Jane. Skills covered will include:
- Buttons/buttonholes
- Collars one piece/two piece
- Sleeves
- Zippers
- Waistbands (skirt or pant)
- Pockets
- Slippery wovens, drapey knits

Instructor Bio: | Jane is a Parson's School of Design trained fashion designer who relocated to Tucson to be nearer to family. She is experienced in women's wear, children's wear and athletic/sports apparel. We were fortunate to meet Jane in our early days after opening Sew Hip and she has been working with us in teaching students of all ages and levels ever since! Jane is also currently an instructor at Pima Community College teaching all levels of sewing construction, flat pattern drafting, fashion design and fashion illustration. |
