Sewing 101 is for the new or relatively inexperienced sewist. Sewing Machine basics is recommended but not required. We ’ll review the basics of the machine, pinning and cutting fabric, sewing a straight line, corners and curves, and turning and pressing. The projects are a lined drawstring bag, a zippered pouch and decorative pillow with invisible zipper. Materials are included. You can bring your own machine or one will be provided at no charge.

Do you have a sewing machine but don ’t know the first thing about it? In this class we’ll go over the basic components of the sewing machine: how to wind a bobbin, thread the machine, sew straight lines & corners, reverse and complete a small project! Class is 2 hours and all materials are included. Bring your own machine or use a class machine at no charge.

Camp starts at 10:30am. Pick up is at 2:30pm. Child should bring lunch and a water bottle. Student can bring their own sewing machine if they would like but sewing machines are provided as are all other materials.
